The brief
What it had to do
I set myself the brief of a mid-size engineering consultancy that needs one printed document for tenders and meetings.
It has to cover who they are, what they do, a few audited numbers and the people a reader will actually speak to. Engineers distrust anything that looks like advertising, so the tone stays plain.

How it is built
- 210 × 210 mm, 8 pages, 3 mm bleed, CMYK, a legal extent for saddle-stitching
- One type family in three cuts: Degular Display for headlines, Text for reading, Mono for labels and figures
- Every paragraph on a named style: 71 of 71
- A 14-point check before export: no overset text, all text inside the trim, bleed reached on every edge object, no widows, at least 6 mm under each title
- Each image frame listed with its size in millimetres and the pixels it needs at 300 ppi
