The brief

What it had to do

I set myself the brief of a furniture brand whose selling point is colour, for customers who are tired of grey sofas.

The pages had to let bold upholstery and lacquer tones lead, while names, sizes and prices stay easy to compare.

Inside the InDesign file

How it is built

  • Six chapters, each opening on an olive panel paired with a framed interior photograph
  • The same product entry every time: name, short description, dimensions and price
  • A small square folio at the top centre of every page
  • A colour and fabric guide as the last chapter

“The folio is a small square at the top centre of every page. It anchors the eye, so the photographs and the olive openers can carry the colour.”

What this shows

Seasonal additions and price changes slot into the existing product styles without touching the chapter openers.

Paletta is a fictional brand.
